The NALP Foundation is seeking a new President and CEO to provide visionary leadership in support of the Foundation’s mission to improve the quality and delivery of legal services through research, education, and expansion of diversity within the legal profession. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to the Foundation in a highly visible role, working directly with the NALP Foundation Board of Trustees and staff, law schools, law firms, and allied organizations to make a lasting positive impact on the legal profession.
The responsibilities of the President and CEO will include:
Candidates must have at least 10 years of prior experience at a law firm, law school, or other legal organization(s). They should have a proven track record of successful leadership, setting strategic direction, developing relationships, directing fundraising, managing budgets, and effecting change. Candidates must also demonstrate superior oral and written communication skills with a management style that encourages collaboration, problem solving, innovation, and accountability. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in a senior leadership/executive role and some experience serving on or working closely with a Board of Directors. The NALP Foundation utilizes a virtual office structure -- candidates can apply from anywhere in the country and are not required to be located in or to relocate to any specific area.
