NALP Foundation and MLA Launch Keeping the Keepers IV Study Results

The NALP Foundation and Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA) are pleased to announce the release of Keeping the Keepers IV:  Mobility & Management of Associate Talent, a landmark research study examining seven years of law firm associate hiring, attrition and retention data.

With so many changes sweeping the legal profession this year, Keeping the Keepers IV provides relevant benchmark data and critical insights for law firm leaders as they navigate a post-COVID environment and strategize for the future.

Building on almost two and a half decades of rich attrition data, key takeaways from this study include:

  • Survey results from a second research initiative during Fall 2019 focusing on hiring sources, recent trends, and anticipated hiring needs
  • Expanded analysis by race/ethnicity and tenure and new analysis by geographic region
  • Best practices and strategies for recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining associates
