NALP Foundation to Present at Two Legal Industry Conferences
Representatives of the NALP Foundation will be presenting at both the 2022 NALP Annual Education Conference and the 2022 NALSAP Conference.
Friday, March 4, 2022
The NALP Foundation will present research findings at two important legal industry conferences: the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) Annual Education Conference, April 5-8, 2022 in New Orleans, LA, and the National Association of Law Student Affairs Professionals (NALSAP) Conference, June 22-24, 2022 in Austin, TX.
At NALP, the NALP Foundation will present "Catch a Tiger by the Tail: The NALP Foundation’s Latest Research and Insights" and share its latest research data on legal hiring, attrition, alumni employment and satisfaction, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on all of these. Attendees will learn how 2021 and beyond aligns with and diverges from prior years on all fronts, as well as how varying groups – in particular diverse law students and lawyers – were differently impacted.
At NALSAP, the NALP Foundation will present "How Are Our Graduates Doing? Insights from Eight Years of Alumni Employment & Satisfaction Study Data" and share aggregate findings on law school alumni employment, career satisfaction, skills preparation, and perceived return on investment in legal education. The results from this joint NALP and NALP Foundation study cover critical topics for law schools, including alumni assessment of the efficacy of their law school preparation, experiential education's impact on skill development and employment, alumni mobility beyond the first position after graduation, and new questions this year about the effects of COVID-19, educational debt, remote work, and alumni preferences for engagement with their alma maters.
